Roger Tribble, born in Phillipsburg, Missouri; graduated from Phillipsburg High School; graduated from Ozark Bible College, Joplin Missouri, with a B.A. Degree in 1951.
He served 10 years as minister of his home congregation at Phillipsburg (1946-1956). Three years were spent in the field of full-time traveling evangelism. He led in the establishment of Southern Heights Christian Church in Lebanon, Missouri and served 16 years as senior minister (1959-1979). Three building programs were completed during this time. He returned to traveling evangelism in 1975 and continued this for 6 years. For the past 27 years, he has served in his second ministry at the Phillipsburg Christian Church. Five building programs have been completed during this period. He served as a member of the board of trustees of Ozark Christian College in Joplin for 42 years. He also served as a member of the board of directors of Central Christian College in Moberly, Missouri for 34 years.
He married Loyce Nyberg from Phillipsburg in 1951. She had faithfully assisted him in his ministry throughout the years until she went to be with the Lord in March of 2008. Roger has 2 married daughters and 6 grandchildren. He now lives on a farm near Phillipsburg, where in addition to ministry work, he is involved in the livestock business with a cow-calf operation.
During his 62 years of ministry, he has preached over 600 revivals in 23 states, performed over 400 weddings and conducted over 850 funerals. He has also been involved in a radio ministry for 46 years.
He has led the Phillipsburg congregation into becoming an area church during the last 27 years. The attendance has increased from an average of 80 in 1981 to an average of 346 this last year. |
