Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and praise His name for the blessings He continually pours out on us. The 2006 Missouri Christian Convention is now history but what a convention it was. Great preaching, great music and most of all, great fellowship. While other state-wide Christian conventions seem to keep going by the wayside Missouri's convention stays strong. We believe one reason for this is its continual commitment to the authenticity and authority of the Bible. The 2007 Missouri Christian Convention will continue the tradition. We will look at Bible issues from the Bible.

      The theme will be: "Living in Grace - Standing on Truth." There seems to be a necessary struggle going on in our churches of trying to balance Grace and Truth. On the one hand, we need to understand the part that God's grace has in our salvation and how that should play out in our own lives, especially in how we relate to others and how we share the gospel. But on the other hand, we must stand uncompromisingly on the truth of God's Word and therein lies the tension. We have asked Dr. Jack Cottrell of Cincinnati Christian University and Robert Cox of the Crossings Church in Wentzville, MO to come and address the issue.

       The 2007 convention will be held at the University Plaza in Springfield, MO. I am asking for your help and support in three areas. First of all, we need your prayers. An undertaking such as this is incredible and cannot be successful apart from God's help. Pray for our speakers, our workshop leaders, our musicians, the convention workers behind-the-scenes, the University Plaza personnel and for those who attend the convention. Secondly, we need your financial support. Moving the convention to Springfield will greatly improve the quality of our meeting place but it will not be cheaper, it actually will cost a little more.
